| From the point of view of domestic animal breeding,the paper introduces the major achievements obtained in cytogenetics.The major contents are as follows: general progress in animal cytogenetics;the characters and founctions of banding patterns of chromosomes;the application of cytogenetics to domestic animal breeding; and the research dynamics of cytogenetic engineering of mammals and domestic animals. |
