热胁迫恢复阶段辣椒种子发芽能力与幼苗期耐热性的相关性

摘要:
【目的】了解热胁迫恢复阶段辣椒种子的发芽能力及其与幼苗期耐热性的相关关系,为辣椒种质资源耐热性的快速准确鉴定提供依据。【方法】14个不同辣椒品系(R1~R11、CM334、B35和B6)的种子在40 ℃热胁迫条件下发芽处理14 d后,将未发芽种子移至25 ℃进行恢复处理,分别计算热胁迫处理阶段和恢复阶段的相对发芽率、相对发芽势和相对发芽指数,并分析其与幼苗期耐热指数的相关性。【结果】热胁迫处理阶段,参试辣椒品系R2、R3、R8、CM334、B6和B35的种子没有发芽,而R9和R10种子的综合发芽能力(2.472 4和2.0835)显著高于其他品系;热胁迫恢复阶段,R2、R6和B35的种子表现出较强的发芽能力(综合发芽能力分别为2.290 1,1.874 4和1.575 2),而R9、R10、B6、R8和R11种子的发芽能力(综合发芽能力分别为0.487 9,0.271 0,0.1914,0.1839和0.0235)相对较差。辣椒热胁迫处理阶段与恢复阶段的种子发芽能力之间无相关关系,并且前者与幼苗期耐热性之间也无相关关系,而后者则与幼苗期耐热性存在显著正相关。建立了根据辣椒热胁迫恢复阶段种子发芽能力预测幼苗期耐热性的最优回归方程,并将14个辣椒品系聚类为耐热、耐热性中等和热敏3个类群,其中耐热类群包括R9、R2、R10和R6等4个品系,耐热性中等类群包括R1、B35、R7、R5、R3、R4和CM334等7个品系,热敏类群包括R8、R11和B6等3个品系。【结论】热胁迫恢复阶段的种子发芽能力可作为辣椒发芽期耐热性鉴定的指标之一,并可用来预测幼苗期的耐热性。

Correlation between seed germination ability during heat-stress recovery period and seedling heat-tolerance of pepper

Abstract:
【Objective】This study investigated the germination ability of pepper seeds during heat-stress recovery period and its correlation with heat tolerance of pepper seedlings to provide basis for measuring the thermo-tolerance of pepper germplams rapidly and accurately.【Method】The seeds of 14 pepper lines (R1-R11,CM334,B35 and B6) were germinated under heat-stress at 40 ℃ for 14 d,and then the ungerminated seeds were transferred to 25 ℃ for recovering germination.The relative germination rate,relative germination vigor and relative germination index of pepper seeds during heat-stress period and recovery period were calculated respectively,and their correlations with heat-tolerance of seedlings were analyzed.【Result】During heat-stress,the seeds of pepper lines R2,R3,R8,CM334,B6 and B35 did not germinate,and the integrated seed germination abilities of R9 (2.472 4) and R10 (2.083 5) were significantly higher than those of other lines.During recovery period,the seeds of R2,R6 and B35 presented higher germinating abilities of 2.290 1,1.874 4 and 1.575 2,respectively,while R9,R10,B6,R8 and R11 had poor abilities of 0.487 9,0.271 0,0.191 4,0.183 9 and 0.023 5,respectively.No correlation in the germination abilities of pepper seeds was found between heat-stress period and recovery period.In addition,the former did not show correlations with heat-tolerance of seedlings while the latter had significantly positive relationship.An optimal regressive equitation was also developed to forecast the heat-tolerance of pepper seedlings based on seed germination ability during recovery period after heat-stress.The 14 pepper lines were clustered into 3 groups:heat-tolerant group included 4 lines (R9,R2,R10 and R6),medium heat-tolerant group included 7 lines (R1,B35,R7,R5,R3,R4 and CM334),and heat-sensitive group included 3 lines (R8,R11 and B6).【Conclusion】The seed germination ability of heat recovery period can be used as one of measuring indexes for heat-tolerance in germination stage and as a prediction of heat-tolerance of pepper seedlings.
