Abstract: |
【Objective】The genetic model of stem strength traits of sweet corn was studied to provide basis for lodging resistance breeding.【Method】-A joint analysis of six generations of T49×T56 cross was performed using the mode of major genes and polygenes mixed inheritance.【Result】The best genetic model of stem puncture strength was D-0 (one major gene with additive-dominant effect and polygene with additive-dominant-epistatic effect),and the major gene heritability rates of BC1,BC2,and F2 were 74.07%,45.30%,and 57.78%,respectively.The best genetic model of stem compressive strength was E-0 (two major genes with additive-dominant-epistatic effect and polygene with additive dominant epistatic effect),and the major gene heritability rates of BC1,BC2,and F2 were 44.15%,40.83%,and 62.97%,respectively.The best genetic model of stem bending ability was E-0 (two major genes with additive-dominant-epistatic effect and polygene with additive-dominant-epistatic effect),and the major gene heritability rates of BC1,BC2,and F2 were 69.79%,40.89%,and 89.46%,respectively.【Conclusion】The puncture strength, compressive strength and bending ability of maize stem were mainly inherited by major genes. This result can be used as a reference for breeding lodging resistant sweet corn varieties. |
