Measurement error model based compatible system of equations for height DBH curve
GAO Dong-qi,DENG Hua-feng,CHENG Zhi-chu
Abstract:
【Objective】The growth rule of average tree height for Quercus mongolica natural forest was studied in Beijing to provide reference for scientific manage of stands.【Method】According to continuous forest inventory data of Quercus mongolica and Richards equation, the compatible system of equations for average height-DBH curve of the stands was established based on measurement error model.【Result】The constructed models were significant at α= 0.05 level with accuracies of 96.39% and 97.23% for estimating average height and average DBH.With the increase of Quercus mongolica stand age,fast-growing period of average DBH was later than that of average height. The growth of average height was fastest approximately at year 15,while the growth of average DBH was fastest approximately at year 23.The growth of average tree height changing with the stand average DBH was fastest when the average DBH was about 10 cm,then it decreased gradually.【Conclusion】The established system of equations for average height-DBH curve was reasonable, which considers both the compatibility and consistence of average height-DBH curve, average DBH-age curve and average height-age curve and the measurement error of independent variable.
