Researches of forestland productivity evaluation andits application on the Loess Plateau
Abstract:
By using analytical hierarchy process (AHP),9 indexes of 2 categories including soil physical & chemical features and tree root vertical distribution were selected to appreciate the natural soil productivity (NSP) of slope lands of Zuitou gully and Xipo gully at Chunhua County.Based on this, the current soil productivity (CSP) of the slope lands of the two villages were studied after selecting 3 categories,13 indexes including social economic condition, soil physical & chemical features and tree root characters as the evaluation indexes which have important effect on CSP.The results indicate that among all the factors affecting NSP and CSP,the root distribution has the largest contribution to NSP,which indicates that selecting suitable tree species is the crux and precondition to the success of slope development.Social economic factors, especially the accepting degree to certain tree species and the initiative to participate of local people, are of great importance to CSP,and are the key point to the exertion of NSP.The factors must be considered in the aspects of soil features,bio-features of the planted tree species and social economic factors when evaluating work will be done on the productivity of afforesting site.Only in this way could the conclusion be made objectively and exactly.
