| Xinong 8116 rice cultivar has been selected and bred in Agronomy Dcpartment of the Northwostern Agricuhural University, This is a new Hsien rice variety witii fine quality identified and approved of by the Crop variety Iuentiiication Association of Shaanxi province in 1987, evaluated as the Zhong Haien rice varieiy with fine quality cf the cetntry, rewarded with rewarding cup, and certificate by the Ministry of Agcicuiture and Animal Husbandry. This paper reports the broeding and selecting process of this new rice cultivar.itseiiarpcte.vistics, qtialiiy features and cultivation key links. |
